Job Overview

The Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) is a fast-growth business with a vision to significantly scale up over the next five years and beyond. Coverage of companies in the fast-growing Digital/FinTech space is a core part of this strategy. The primary responsibilities for the Relationship Manager - Digital are to develop new banking relationships and provide solutions for existing Digital/FinTech CCB clients operating in the payments ecosystem. The job involves day-to-day co-operation with Citi colleagues in various countries, including working with the credit underwriting team, subsidiary relationship managers, product and implementation teams. Responsibilities also include active engagement in projects related to additional products and functionalities offered by the CCB team across the region for Digital/FinTech companies.

Key Outline

The key outline of this London-based role is to help develop new relationships and to nurture the growth of revenues from CCB clients in the Digital/FinTech space who are headquartered in the UK. An ongoing commitment is required to identify new revenue streams, support and own RFPs, and deepen wallet penetration for revenue realization. Through those activities, you'll achieve an annual growth rate in revenue for the CCB business whilst overseeing your clients' sales performance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Acquire new, multi-product, Digital/FinTech customers for the Bank;
  • Managing relationships and providing service for CCB Digital customers in the UK;
  • Proper account planning is expected; the RM has to determine and plan the future relationship, business opportunities, products to sell, etc.;
  • Work closely with the Sector Head, the wider UK CCB team, CCB Cash Sales Transactors, Markets experts and junior staff on a daily basis;
  • Monitoring and supporting the products' implementation process;
  • Managing customers and transactions in the CRM platform;
  • Close cooperation with Banking Capital Markets and Advisory teams to address opportunities within the Digital space;
  • Frequent interaction with other CCB teams across the globe;
  • Verifying adherence to global Know Your Customer (KYC) standards during the onboarding and periodic review processes;
  • Maintaining overall control and accountability for the managed cross-border transactions referrals;
  • Participate in structuring new product solutions specific to Digital/FinTech clients and the industry segment.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills
  • Excellent knowledge of the Digital/FinTech market, customers, ecosystem, competition, local regulations;
  • Good knowledge of corporate finance, FX, cash management and trade products are needed;
  • Thorough understanding of banking products for digital/technology customers;
  • Experience in Commercial / Relationship Banking with international customers;
  • Ability to assess the credit risk of digital/technology companies;
  • Experience of the implementation / onboarding process;
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate across the wider UK CCB team and the Global Digital Team, as well as requesting support from the appropriate team members as required;
  • Exploring issues and generating solutions. Analysis and use of a diverse range of environmental and business information to identify business priorities and making decisions to deliver business benefits;
  • Ability to engage appropriately at all levels in the organization and build relationships with a variety of business and external sources.
Certification Regime
