Commercial Analyst Team Leader

Location: St Vincent Crescent, Glasgow (office based)

£53,280 - £66,600 (depending on experience) + excellent benefits and career progression opportunities
Contract: Full Time / Permanent

We're hiring a Commercial Analyst Team Leader to join our Distribution business (SPD) within the Commercial & Contracts team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team of three and play a key role in supporting CAPEX and Connections activities for the SPD business. You'll work closely with stakeholders across SP Energy Networks, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced environment.

We're looking for someone who brings attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the confidence to challenge assumptions where needed. Experience with SAP systems is essential, as you'll be using it to manage and report on critical data.

What you'll be doing
  • Deal with external suppliers in terms of issues with regards outstanding debt, clearance of PO's etc.
  • Prepare reports, pull data and present findings to various levels of stakeholders
  • Liaise with EN Control with regards to mailbox traffic to ensure the Design & Delivery sides of the SPD Energy Networks business can operate effectively and efficiently.
  • Liaise with District QS team to ensure all billing is progressed on projects with milestone payments and billing on completion as well as variations to existing projects
  • Complete ad hoc tasks individually and with the Team to produce results and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Provide support for both the SAP PM and PPM systems to the Districts and deal with a high volume of workflows
  • Identify, prepare and carry out final commercial checks on closure packs prior to submission to EN Control
What You'll Bring
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team.

  • Solid understanding of the Energy Networks business and its commercial drivers.
  • Highly numerate and fully computer literate, with proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP systems.
  • Ability to write clear, concise reports and communicate complex information effectively to a diverse audience.

  • Proven experience leading a team of individuals.
