Elvet Recruitment has been selected to hire a Commercial Analyst for a leading national utilities & water contractor, who specalises in clean water, wastewater, gas, digital networks and infrastructure sectors .

With over 10 years of experience in the industry, we are pleased to say they have recently been awarded a major contract with Yorkshire Water, supporting them in proactively and reactively maintaining their Wastewater Network for the next five years.

This position provides the chance to work with a forward-thinking industry leader who places a strong emphasis on exceeding client and customer expectations, making it a great opportunity to join the UK's largest independent specialist infrastructure delivery partner for their expanding team in Yorkshire.

Responsibilities
  • Working alongside the Senior Commercial Analysts (QS) ensuring proper contractual administration of contract/project assigned, including value and cost control, and maintenance of contemporaneous records
  • Accurately value works undertaken and where necessary provide records to substantiate cost to allow prompt issue of application for payment/invoice in line with contractual timescales
  • Ensure change control process is managed effectively, including production of early warnings/variations, maximising entitlement
  • Preparation of financial statements in respect to projects/contracts assigned, working with operational teams to confirm understanding of financial position, proactively instilling commercial awareness throughout the wider business.
  • Accepts extra duties as situations arise.
Skills and Experience
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment where attention to detail is crucial

  • Advanced Excel skills essential
  • Previous experience and knowledge of utilities
  • If you have studied Quantity Surveying or have worked in a Commercial Department this would be advantageous.
