A large warehousing client in Newark on Trent is seeking a Cold Store Supervisor to efficiently manage cold store activities, ensuring quality, compliance, and high productivity. The ideal candidate will have a supervisory management qualification and experience in a cold store environment within the Food or Health Care industry. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of £34k-£36k based on experience.

Overview

Taylor Stevenson are proud to be working with a large warehousing client who are looking for a Cold Store Supervisor to join their team based in Newark.

Responsibilities

• To oversee the requirements of the cold store activities, making sure that the cold store is managed in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
• To oversee that the designated standards of quality, and cleanliness are achieved and maintained.
• To motivate and lead the cold store staff to achieve and maintain high levels of productivity.
• To manage staff according to the cultural requirements of the Company and according to issued Human Resources Policies.
• To maintain important documentation such as temperature checks etc due to company requirements.
• To manage the loading and un-loading of all Lorries and also have a full understanding of customer specifications.
• Comply with all Health & Safety requirements of the job and to consider the Health & Safety of others while carrying out their job.
• To comply with the requirements of the Company Integrated Management System Procedures and Instructions as it affects/influences your work.
• To comply with the Company Environmental requirements and to dispose of waste according to Company Environmental Policies.
• To comply with Company rules and Policies in relation to Data Protection and Confidentiality as it applies to their job.
• To carry out other duties within reason as required by the General Manager and any other member of the management team.
• To ensure that all loads are within company and customer requirements and any discrepancies are reported to your manager/supervisor.

All loads are to be checked for:

• Correct product and vehicle temperatures are met.
• Product is secure and correctly wrapped.
• All paperwork is completed for both in and out loads and any discrepancies are immediately reported. Ensure that all checks are correctly carried out and when signing a document and the right amount is signed for.

Skills

• Qualification in Supervisory Management preferred.
• Experience in a cold store environment in the Food or Health Care industry preferred.
• The post holder must be Numerate and literate and have a good understanding of the importance of documentation with in the company work place.
• Knowledge of cold store environment would be preferable but specific training will be given.
• A Full current licence for a reach and counter balance forklift truck would be an advantage but full training will be given in house.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm

Salary - £34k-£36k dependant on experience
