Overview

Our client, a successful precision engineering company running modern machinery and providing close tolerance components, seeks to appoint a CNC Turner. This is a days shift role. The appointed CNC Turner will have a formal engineering qualification and ideally be apprentice trained, have experience of setting and operating precision engineering machinery and be happy to help out in other areas of the business when required.

Responsibilities
  • Programming, setting and operating precision engineering machinery
  • Programming, setting and operating with Fanuc controls
  • Overcome any tooling and set up problems encountered when machining component
  • Adhere to Machine / Department 5S and support Quality / Business Improvement initiatives
Skills and Qualifications
  • Formal qualification in machining, with CNC bias, ideally apprentice trained
  • Ability to program preferred (Fanuc)
  • Ability to use associated measuring equipment, mics, verniers etc
  • Confident with a positive and friendly attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
