£34,000 – £38,500 + Overtime + Bonus + Early Finish Fridays + Days Based + Monday - Friday

Are you a CNC Operator/Setter with a background on lathes or milling machines, looking to step into a programming-focused role with excellent pay, weekday hours, and early finishes every Friday?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established precision engineering company producing high‑precision metal components for the rail, defence, and industrial sectors. The business is part of a larger engineering group with a strong order book and ongoing investment in modern machinery.

The role is primarily programming-focused. You will use CAD/CAM software such as CIMCO or Fusion 360 to program CNC machines, as well as set up and operate them. Full training will be provided on vertical and horizontal boring machines, so no prior experience on these machines is required.

This position is ideal for CNC Setters/Operators who already have offline programming experience and want to focus on programming larger components while working in a supportive, days‑based environment.

THE ROLE:
  • Programming CNC machines using CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360 or CIMCO)
  • Setting up machinery, tooling, fixtures, and inspection equipment
  • Operating CNC lathes, milling machines, and boring machines (Vertical/Horizontal)
  • Working to precise engineering tolerances
  • Inspecting finished components using a variety of quality inspection methods
  • 37‑hour working week, Monday to Friday, with early Friday finish
THE PERSON:
  • CNC Machinist with a background on Lathes or Milling machines
  • Offline programmed a CNC machines using Fusion 360 or similar
  • Commutable to the Midlands site
