Job Description
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a CNC Miller to assist in the manufacturing of parts ensuring planned times for setting and manufacturing are met or improved, and high-quality parts produced within required performance, cost and delivery targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC Machines using Fanuc and Heidenhain controls.
- Clock up fixtures/parts to set work datums.
- Achieve drawing and stage operation standards.
- Follow process and tooling sheets adequately.
- Build tooling and select the right tools for each component.
- Adhere to quality standards and check work using a variety of measurement instruments.
- Produce high quality parts with low batch volumes.
- Manage one’s time, ensuring on time in full (OTIF) adherence.
- Obtain material requirements for the next job.
- Create machining offsets for tooling.
- Submit parts for first off.
- Deburr parts to an adequate standard using deburring tools.
- Clean parts in process.
- Maintain route cards.
- Be a pro‑active, team player.
- Solve problems.
- Attend and participate in SQDCP meetings in assigned area(s).
- Ensure performance of part production to planned set and run times and quality requirements.
- Communicate Not Right First Time (NRFT) within assigned areas.
- Record and assist the Manufacturing Group Leader in improving the 5S organisation of the assigned team areas and personal responsibility of machines being operated.
- Attend and participate in progress meetings as required.
- Ensure correct materials, route cards, drawings are used to produce components.
- Set up tools, offsets etc. ready for your own operation to commence and assist operators where appropriate.
- Ensure delivery schedule adherence of parts to system/route card dates.
- Complete work on time in full to process routing/system date requirements.
- Ensure all activities are exercised in accordance with company policy and procedure (including standard operating, health and safety and HR procedures).
- Undertake activities in an ethical manner with due consideration to the needs and concerns of others (particularly in relation to equality and diversity).

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Previous aerospace experience.
