A mental health services provider in Manchester is seeking a Clinical Team Manager to lead its triage service, overseeing clinical operations and ensuring high standards of care during mental health crises. The role involves leadership, interagency collaboration, and maintaining professional standards. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Team Manager at Greater Manchester Mental Health Tactical Advice Service (GM MHTAS).
GM MHTAS is a triage service with practitioners based at the Greater Manchester Police Force Headquarters. They provide real time clinical advice to police personnel on scene with members of the public experiencing mental health crisis, and also provide clinical advice to custody staff.
The post holder will support the Senior Mental Health Practitioners on duty to ensure that mental health vulnerability is considered, triaged and high quality information and clinical advice is provided when an individual comes in contact with, or is brought to the attention of, Greater Manchester Police.
The post holder will support the Operational Manager in carrying continuing professional and managerial responsibility for the clinical team, contributing to the maintenance of the overall service standards.

GM MHTAS is currently going through consultation and will soon be part of the GM Mental Health Urgent Triage Team (MHUT) based at Middlebrook in Bolton. MHUT is an expanding urgent care service across the Greater Manchester footprint. This can be discussed in more detail at interview stage.
