Do you want a job where every day is different and you are working as part of a team?

The fracture clinic is a busy Trauma Clinic, seeing patients with injuries from various causes. We see both adults and children. Elective orthopaedic clinics are for patients referred by their GPs for specialized opinions, including spinal services, neurosurgery, and children’s clinics.

The role of Nursing Assistant in this fast-paced environment involves maintaining efficient patient flow, running clinics, and providing a chaperone service to doctors.

If you are ready to work in a busy environment and deliver high-quality patient care, we look forward to your application.

As a nursing assistant, you will run clinics in fracture and elective orthopaedics, chaperone doctors during consultations, assist patients with personal care or queries, and fit splints or braces once trained and competent.

We seek candidates with excellent communication, computer, and interpersonal skills. Personal qualities include initiative, proactivity, reliability, punctuality, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new skills. Occasional work at both sites (Royal Stoke and County Hospital) may be required.

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is among the largest and most modern, serving around three million people across two sites. We are proud to be the specialist trauma center for North Midlands and North Wales, with excellent facilities, teaching, and research.

We value all employees and offer development opportunities to help staff reach their potential. Our culture promotes inclusion, diversity, and equal opportunities. We are committed to creating a respectful environment where everyone feels valued.

We believe investing in our staff directly improves patient care. Our employees are vital to our success.
