A leading healthcare institution in Norwich is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse to join its specialized Women's and Children's team. Research at NNUH is conducted primarily at the NIHR Norfolk Clinical Research Facility (CRF), as well as the Quadram Institute on the Norwich Research Park. The NIHR Norfolk CRF is one of 28 NIHR Clinical Research Facilities networked across the UK.
Team NNUH's Research and Development department have an opportunity for a NICU Clinical Research Nurse within the Women's and Children's team working on intensive Commercial, home grown and NIHR studies. Significant experience within NICU is essential for this post.

Research is highly regulated; you should have an understanding of trial protocols and policies, and an awareness of research governance.

As a NICU Clinical Research Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and managing the care pathways for patients and/or carer's participating in clinical trials. You will be people focused in your approach; recruiting, educating and monitoring those in the trial, and will collect and document your findings accurately.
As post-holder, you will play a key role in ground-breaking research studies. Our strong links with the Norwich Research Park and the University of East Anglia as well as colleagues around the region, means you will have the opportunity to network and share knowledge and findings.
This post is perfect for an organised individual who is happy to work independently, as part of a wider team and is willing to be flexible with hours. We regularly hit targets and are known for the innovative research projects we have facilitated.
You will have excellent communication skills with a positive and flexible approach to the workload. You should be a qualified Registered Nurse and have research experience in a hospital setting.
Clinical Research is a highly regulated field, the role involves using an in-depth knowledge of trial protocols and their application in practice, alongside a working knowledge and compliance with the regulations. You should therefore have a good understanding of research procedures, documentation and policies, as well as an awareness of local, national and international research governance issues.
