Overview

This full-time post is within our Community Mental Health Team (psychosis pathway), based in the Warwick/Leamington or Stratford-upon-Avon locality.

Voices... trauma... visions... stigma... withdrawal... exclusion... depression... substance use. The people we support need a psychologist with a passion for working with people experiencing psychosis and who can work with them and their families to find a way to a meaningful recovery. You will work predominantly with people on our psychosis pathways but may also work with people on our non-psychosis mental health pathways. The work on the psychosis pathway is based on the FACT model and is aligned with a Recovery philosophy of service provision. Compassionate care is at the heart of what we do, and the contribution of psychology and provision of psychological interventions is welcome and highly valued. We have a strong commitment to provide an excellent standard of care and to continually improve, and we are keen see our psychologists flourish and develop through supervision, training and mentoring opportunities., With the support and supervision of a Principal Clinical Psychologist you will work with colleagues to deliver Recovery focused interventions in the community. You will work with people with complex difficulties, their families and the teams who support them, delivering formulation and evidence-based interventions and support. You will be expected to promote values that seek to support recovery in this client group and maximise the potential of individuals with the aim of reducing social exclusion, stigma and the potentially disabling effects of psychosis.
