Senior Associate – Clinical Negligence

Location: Newport

We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our client’s Clinical Negligence team. This is a key role involving caseload management, team leadership, and contributing to the strategic development of the department and wider firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage clinical negligence matters to a high standard
  • Supervise, mentor and motivate fee‑earners and support staff
  • Support departmental growth through business development and regular networking (1 event per month)
  • Contribute to management meetings and firm‑wide initiatives
  • Strengthen client relationships and support the firm’s Business Plan
  • Promote a safe, professional and collaborative working environment
About You
  • Admitted Solicitor or Paralegal with ideally 5+ years PQE in clinical negligence
  • Demonstrated high performance in a senior or comparable role
  • Strong leadership, decision‑making and communication skills
  • Able to manage competing priorities and handle sensitive or complex situations
  • Confident in delegation, coaching, feedback and conflict management
  • Flexible to work outside standard hours when reasonably required
