Job description
Overview

Reporting to the Home Manager, our Clinical Deputy Manager will guide and support our nursing team to continuously improve the quality of care for the residents – ensuring compliance with our clinical governance framework. You will write and review care plans, assessing residents’ individual physical, mental and social needs. Mentoring and motivating a team of nurses, you will champion residents’ safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

As Clinical Lead, you will maintain and promote relationships with GPs and medical contacts in the community and local professional bodies.

Qualifications

We are looking for a Clinical Deputy Manager to join the team. The successful applicant will have experience working as a Deputy Manager or Lead Nurse, ideally within a care home setting and with experience in a dementia care setting. You currently work as a manager or senior nurse in a care home setting, working with people living with dementia and hold a valid NMC PIN number. With experience managing a team of nurses, you understand the benefits that the right clinical care can bring to people’s lives; previous experience in elderly and dementia care would be advantageous. You are approachable and open, a natural leader ready to share clinical experience, leading and mentoring a team of nurses. You are enthusiastic, compassionate and genuinely committed to adhering to the NMC Codes of Conduct and to expanding your professional development.

Location & Salary

CQC rating: GOOD. Richmond Villages Painswick, Stroud Road, Painswick, Gloucestershire, GL6 6UL. Salary: £42,265.8pa, plus £1,000 Welcome Bonus! Contracted 36 hrs shifts – Monday – Friday 8am – 8pm with occasional weekend shift pattern. The CDM is on the floor for 12 hours, leaving 24 hours supernumerary to support CHM with clinical audits, medication ordering, supervisions and appraisals and to stand in for CHM when she is on leave.
