Classroom Mentor

Do you have experience supporting young people and want to make a real difference in their lives?

We're working with a mainstream secondary school in the L8 Area of Liverpool that is looking to recruit a Classroom Mentor to support a Year 7 child in a small class.

The school is seeking someone who has a passion for being a role model and want to help develop the confidence and learning for their student. The student need support with the and. You will be working alongside another two Classroom Mentors and Teacher in the classroom.

This role is ideal for individuals with backgrounds in working in education, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring, social care or similar who are confident in building positive relationships and encouraging change.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support within the classroom
  • Supporting students to engage with learning and improve social skills
  • Encouraging positive choices and building emotional resilience
  • Working closely with teaching staff, pastoral leads, and therapists to meet individual needs
  • Helping create a safe, consistent, and supportive school environment
What We're Looking For:
  • Previous experience working with children or young adults
  • Calm, empathetic, and resilient under pressure
  • Confident in managing challenging behaviour and maintaining boundaries
  • A positive role model who inspires and motivates young people
  • A child-only Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
