Job Overview

We are a welcoming, bright and child‑orientated mainstream primary school based in Salisbury, recruiting a classroom assistant to promote and support classroom learning in Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. This role offers aspiring teachers the chance to initiate their career in education and gain an understanding of the National Curriculum.

Responsibilities
  • Work alongside specialist and driven teachers to stimulate a dynamic and effective learning environment that enables learners to flourish and maximise their potential.
  • Support the learning across the curriculum in core subjects such as Maths and English and foundation subjects such as Geography and PE.
  • Assist with the delivery of creative and well‑planned lessons and act as the spark for a child's light‑bulb moment.
  • Engage, support and develop the learning of children, ensuring no two days are the same.
Qualifications
  • Recent graduate or experienced classroom assistant seeking a new challenge.
  • Previous working experience with children is desirable but not essential; relevant experience may include mentoring, coaching, tutoring, assisting in a nursery, childcare, or similar classroom settings.
  • Experience supporting children with ASD, behavioural issues and learning difficulties is extremely beneficial.
