Overview

We are looking for a Classroom Assistant to support our young people in our brand new school at Craighall. The post is a 39‑week sessional role (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Working days and times will be discussed with the candidate. The post is temporary until 31 March 2026.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in learning activities and promote pupil development.
• Assist with dining room duties and playground supervision.
• Work with teachers and other staff to help deliver quality teaching and learning.

Qualifications and Experience

• Good standard of general education.
• SSSC registration is essential. If you are not already a member of the relevant section of the SSSC Register you must apply for registration within 3 months of your start date.
• PVG Scheme membership is required for all candidates carrying out regulated work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults. Prior to any formal offer of employment you must become a PVG Scheme member or undertake an update if you are already a member.
• Additional criminal record checks may be required if you have spent more than 3 months working or living outside the UK in the last 5 years.
