  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards.

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy, on a contract basis, outside IR35. As the successful candidate, you will be required to work on a remote basis, supporting our client’s business in Bristol. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of civil projects, with a large focus on drainage and roads.

Competitive hourly rate ranging from £42-£48 (depending on experience).

Remote working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop civil engineering designs, from concept to detailed design, across a variety of projects, with a large focus on roads and drainage.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation aligned with regulations and client needs.
  • Ensure all work meets health & safety standards, sustainability objectives, and industry best practices.
  • Monitor site-based operations by conducting inspections, carrying out surveys, and verifying as-built conditions against design specifications.
What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Must have extensive experience with Civil3D, Infodrainage and Microdrainage, and data centre projects.
  • Prior experience working on Drainage, Roads (S278,38,106), Earthworks, and Cut and fill.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards (ICE preferred).
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
  • Strong communicator with problem-solving and teamwork skills.
