We are currently working with a Consultancy based in York who are seeking a detail-oriented Civil CAD Technician to join our engineering support team. This role is ideal for someone experienced in producing accurate technical drawings and supporting civil engineering projects across infrastructure, construction, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and produce detailed civil engineering drawings using CAD software
  • Convert design concepts, sketches, and survey data into accurate technical drawings
  • Update and maintain project drawings and documentation as projects progress
  • Assist engineers and project teams with technical drafting and design queries
  • Ensure all drawings comply with relevant standards, specifications, and safety requirements
  • Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to ensure design accuracy
  • Support project planning, documentation, and reporting tasks
Required Qualifications
  • Diploma or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience as a CAD Technician in civil or infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction processesAttention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate drawings
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Preferred Experience & Skills
  • Experience with Civil 3D or other advanced civil CAD tools
  • Familiarity with survey data and topographical mapping
  • Knowledge of local construction and civil engineering standards
  • Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or public works projects
