Job Title: Children's Home Manager

Location: Portsmouth

Salary: £60,000 per annum

About the Role

We are recruiting for a passionate and driven Children's Home Manager to lead a beautiful 6-bed residential children's home. This home is not designed to run at full capacity, but instead to focus on meeting each child's needs individually. You will work alongside a highly experienced Responsible Individual who will provide strong support as you develop in your role.

This is an exciting opportunity for either:

  • An experienced Registered Manager seeking a fresh challenge, or
  • A Deputy Manager with the right knowledge, leadership skills, and ambition to step up into a Registered Manager role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the home
  • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where children can thrive
  • Recruit, manage, and develop staff to deliver outstanding care
  • Work collaboratively with the Responsible Individual and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for young people

Requirements

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential Care (or equivalent qualification)
  • Experience in residential childcare, with strong knowledge of Ofsted standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and safeguarding skills
