Velox Social Care is seeking committed and compassionate Support Workers across Dorset and the South West region to provide high-quality, person-centred care to Children and Young People (CYP) in crisis who require structured and nurturing support.

About the Role

As a Support Worker for Children in Crisis, you will:

  • Offer emotional and practical support to young people facing challenging circumstances
  • Provide a safe, stable, and nurturing environment through consistency and care
  • Encourage positive behaviour and development through patience and understanding
  • Accurately maintain daily records and reports
  • Work collaboratively with your team, our Care Management Team, and external professionals

We offer a range of flexible shift options, and are especially interested in candidates who can work a mix of day and night shifts, including long and short shift coverage, depending on client needs.

What You'll Need

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Right to Work in the UK (No sponsorship available)
  • 6+ months UK experience in a Children and Young People (CYP) setting
  • 3 references (2 professional, 1 character)
  • In-date physical intervention training (e.g. PMVA or Team Teach Level 2 - or willingness to train)
  • A valid Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
