Job Title: Children’s Home Registered Manager
Location: Cannock
Salary: £50,000 per annum DOE plus £3,000 on registration
Working Hour: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Service: Children’s Home

Service Users: Young People with learning disabilities, Autism, epilepsy, and associated behaviours (including non-verbal communication)

Qualifications Required: Level 3 in Children's Residential Care (essential); Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (preferred or enrol within 6 months of starting)

Experience in Years: At least 2 years in residential care of children and 1 year in a supervisory role

Employment Type: Permanent

Essential Requirements and Experience
  • Experience: At least 2 years in residential childcare, including 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
  • Qualifications: Level 3 in Children's Residential Care (essential); Level 5 Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (preferred or must enrol within 6 months).
  • Knowledge: Thorough understanding of Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Skills: Proficiency in planning, organising, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Specialist Knowledge: Trauma-informed approaches and managing challenging behaviours.
  • Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence required.
