Job description

Overview

A great opportunity to work with an established and growing care company providing residential live-in support for children and young adults with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. They focus on developing life skills to help children become well-rounded members of the community. Staff provide emotional support and help teach and develop the children for the future.

Responsibilities

• Based in a children's residential home in Wallasey on the Wirral
• Working 2 full days and nights and then having 4 days and nights off, with flexibility
• Working with boys and girls aged 6-16
• Supporting the child with breakfast, getting dressed and to school, washing, school pickups, cooking dinner, bathing and bedtime
• Creating rotas for staff, leading the support team, ensuring care plans are adhered to, and helping the manager run the home

Salary and Benefits

• £15.70 per hour if you have your Level 3, £17.18 if you have Level 5
• £60 per sleep-in
• Additional 16 hours per month paid for paperwork
• 224 hours of holiday per year; extra 2 days after 2 years
• Bank holidays paid at x1.5
