Service Care Solutions are currently working alongside a common local authority based in Greater Manchester. They are looking for a Childcare Legal Assistant to join their expanding legal team.

This role pays a competitive rate of:

  • Umbrella Rate: £16-£18 per hour
  • PAYE (including holidays): £14.62-£16.38 per hour

This role is on a temporary basis with potential to be long term.

Responsibilities
  • Able to handle a high caseload in childcare cases from start to completion.
  • Preparing legal documents and correspondence.
  • To undertake advocacy where directed.
  • To advise the Principal Lawyer of all significant matters relating to legal/reputational issues for the council.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years' legal experience in childcare law.
  • Drafting legal documents to a high‑quality standard.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
