Job summary

A local play organization in Northern Ireland is looking for a Careworker/Playworker to create a safe and fun environment for children aged 4-12. Are you looking for an exciting and rewarding job?

Holywood Play Company are currently looking for a Careworker/ Playworker

Applicants are required to work between 16 and 20 hours per week. Monday – Friday 1.45 pm – 5.45pm term time and 8.30 am – 5.45 pm in the school holidays.

Candidates must be able to work as part of a team. A Level 3 qualification in Playwork or equivalent is desirable but not essential. Experience of working with children aged 4–12 years is essential.

Hourly rate – minimum wage for age.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside other staff in the general running of the club ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to, whilst ensuring that a happy, safe and fun environment is provided for all the children
• Escort children safely between local schools and the after schools club building.
• Attend staff meetings/ training courses (out of club hours) and be flexible to work extra hours if required.
