About the Diocese

The Catholic Diocese of Northampton covers Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and the town of Slough. It is involved in various areas such as parishes, schools, hospitals, prisons, religious communities, and outreach programs for different age groups and social needs.

The diocese includes 69 principal parishes, 26 satellite churches, chapels of ease, and additional Mass centres. It is served by 48 diocesan priests, assisted by priests from other dioceses and religious orders. The diocese manages 29 primary/infant/junior schools, 6 secondary schools, and private institutions, educating approximately 20,700 pupils.

Financial Leadership Role

The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) will provide strategic leadership and oversight of all financial operations. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the CFO will ensure financial sustainability, compliance with regulations, and effective stewardship of resources, supporting the diocese's mission to promote the Roman Catholic faith and safeguard its physical estate.
