Overview

Job Description - Chef Manager (PEN00CD).

Location: Off Oaklands Lane, Midhurst, West Sussex GU29 0ES. The home provides care for people requiring nursing and residential care, including Parkinson's care and palliative care. Short and long-term stays are welcome.

Pendean House is set within large grounds with landscaped gardens, a sensory garden, and wheelchair-accessible paths. Interiors include oak panelling and en suite bedrooms with a 24-hour call system. A lift provides access to all floors, and residents have access to an onsite library, optician, nutritionist, reminiscence sessions and relaxation therapy. Weekly GP visits are conducted to provide personalised medical reviews as part of person-centred care. The home offers daily meals with garden views and a calendar of engaging events.

Responsibilities

• Using your passion for cooking and experience in a fresh food kitchen to create a varied and nutritional menu in line with dietary needs and preferences of residents
• Using your leadership skills to train and mentor the kitchen team to deliver an excellent dining experience
• Being innovative in your approach to cooking and maintaining high standards
• Managing all mandatory paperwork including COSHH and HACCP guidelines, company policies and procedures, budgets, orders and deliveries
• Catering for special events or seasonal activities (e.g., summer fetes, Christmas parties, birthdays) as required
