Chef De Partie – Overview

We’re now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award‑winning team as a Chef De Partie. Your focus will be to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading a culinary team that provides a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive and high-quality culinary service, contributing to the overall wellbeing of our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading a culinary team that delivers high‑quality, nutritionally balanced meals for residents.
  • Take part in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss and agree catering functions across the home and address special needs or dietary requirements of residents.
  • Prepare nutritional food and beverages to a high standard, as directed by the Head Chef.
  • Support cost‑effective stock control systems to minimise waste and ensure these are in place.
  • Work with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review the menu on a regular basis.
  • Live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable in all that you do.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Hold a catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Have a minimum of 1‑year catering experience.
  • Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high‑quality culinary services to residents.
  • Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.
Additional Requirements
  • A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
