Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain the good reputation of the home.
  • Maintain confidentiality concerning all matters related to the home, clients, staff, and work.
  • Purchase fresh foods daily from local suppliers.
  • Order frozen foods weekly from nominated suppliers and ensure competitive pricing.
  • Manage financial transactions accurately, including issuing monies and receipts.
  • Prepare menus in consultation with the Manager.
  • Cook nutritious meals to high standards, accommodating any dietary requirements.
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards are upheld.
  • Follow all food hygiene, health, safety, emergency, and fire procedures.
  • Report any faulty appliances, damaged equipment, or hazards to the Manager.
  • Adhere to all Group policies and procedures within specified timescales.
  • Undertake additional duties as required.
  • Attend training sessions and pursue personal development opportunities.
