Chartered Town Planner

Location: Crawley

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well established planning consultancy on the hire of a Chartered Town Planner to join their growing team in Crawley.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and experienced planner to work on a wide range of exciting projects across the South East, with flexible working options and real scope for progression in a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

As a Chartered Town Planner, you will provide expert planning advice and manage a portfolio of varied projects from inception through to delivery. This includes preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals and development appraisals, liaising with clients and local planning authorities, and contributing to business development where appropriate. You will play a key role in the team, supporting junior colleagues and working closely with senior consultants to ensure high standards of service are maintained.

About You
  • MRTPI Chartered status
  • A degree (or equivalent) in Town Planning or a related discipline
  • Relevant years of post‑qualification experience in the UK
  • Strong report writing and communication skills
  • A good understanding of planning legislation and policy
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • A full UK driving licence
