Overview

As our Resourcing, Talent and Wellbeing Lead, you’ll manage a dedicated team responsible for recruitment and fitness, and play a hands-on role in resourcing at all levels. You’ll be instrumental in writing and implementing key policies that support our people strategy – from attracting top talent to promoting a culture of wellbeing and inclusion, monitoring key data and delivering training across all levels of our service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic resourcing, talent, and wellbeing policies and initiatives across CFRS.
  • Manage and deliver recruitment, promotion, talent management, and wellbeing activities, ensuring alignment with service needs.
  • Support and educate managers on best practice in resourcing practices, promoting consistency and compliance.
  • Provide expert advice on resourcing, talent, and wellbeing matters, including interpretation of policies and legislation.
  • Use data and metrics to identify trends, inform decision-making, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Service Delivery, Learning and Development, Senior Leadership, and trade unions.
  • Represent CFRS at local, regional, and national forums on resourcing and wellbeing.
