A healthcare trust in South West London is seeking a Pathway Co‑ordinator for their Cellular Pathology department. The role involves ensuring timely completion of pathology reports, supporting cancer patient requirements, and developing information systems for effective data management. The ideal candidate will possess strong IT, communication, and teamwork skills. South West London Pathology is an award‑winning NHS pathology partnership set up by St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Croydon Health Services NHS Trust, Epsom & St. Helier NHS Foundation Trust, and Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to provide a single, integrated pathology service across South West London and beyond.
On 1 May 2021, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust joined to form an expanded South West London Pathology partnership.
Duties will include working with consultant pathologists, laboratory and administrative staff, as well as Cancer Services departments, to ensure that all patients have their Cellular Pathology reports completed and authorised within the pathology targets set for cancer patients. You will also play a fundamental role in preparation of cases for multidisciplinary team meetings. Good literacy, numeracy, IT (particularly Microsoft Excel) and communication skills are required; keyboard skills would be an advantage. You should have the ability to work as part of a team and to manage your own workload. Previous experience of medical terminology and data entry in a diagnostic pathology environment would be advantageous. Candidates who have applied in the past 3 months need not apply.

An opportunity has arisen within the Cellular Pathology Department for a full time Pathway Co‑ordinator. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working person to work closely with all grades of Cellular Pathology staff in our busy but friendly department. In addition the post‑holder will work closely with Cancer Services staff in all of our partner Trusts.
