Job summary

A local educational institution in Chesterfield is looking for a highly motivated Catering Assistant to join their catering team. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and be flexible in their approach to work. A Basic Food Hygiene NVQ Level 1 is essential, and while previous kitchen experience is a plus, training can be provided. St Mary's Catholic High School are looking for a highly motivated, competent, and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our hardworking and friendly catering team.

You will be a team player with good communication skills and a flexible approach to working. Applicants should have an awareness of the principles of food hygiene and service and be able to prepare and serve food to our students. A Basic Food Hygiene NVQ Level 1 qualification is essential and previous experience of working in a production kitchen or food service operation would be an advantage, but training can be given to the right candidate.

We are particularly keen to reflect the diverse nature of our student community in our staff; we welcome applications from all qualified applicants and strongly believe that diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact to our whole school community.
