  • Full-time appointment on an ongoing basis.
  • Base salary range: $134,288 – $142,099 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The Finance Division supports the stewardship of the University’s finances through strategic advice, financial frameworks, procurement, investment management, and oversight of financial and HR operations. It operates through three core pillars: Financial Compliance, Financial Performance, and Procurement. The Procurement team plays a vital role in enabling value-driven purchasing decisions and supporting stakeholders across the University.

About the opportunity

  • Lead the development and execution of category plans that deliver cost reduction, resilience, and sustainability.
  • Manage strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier relationships to optimise value.
  • Provide high-level procurement advice and support to stakeholders across the University.

About you

  • Extensive experience and knowledge of category management, strategic sourcing, value optimisation, contract management activities across diverse commodities, and the ability to strategically assess category opportunities and risks.
  • Extensive management experience with demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, projects and resources.
  • Extensive commercial acumen with the proven ability to negotiate commercial contracts resulting in optimized value and risk positions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to consult, negotiate, collaborate and provide advice to a diverse range of stakeholders.

Note: A current National Police Clearance Certificate will be required by the successful applicant.
