Category Insights Executive/Manager – FMCG (Food)

An award-winning, ambient food manufacturer is looking for a Category Insights Executive or Junior Manager to join their sales and marketing team. This business supplies both own-label and branded products to major UK retailers and foodservice customers.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in delivering detailed, account-specific category insights and market analysis to support sales growth. You will work closely with sales, marketing, and senior leadership teams to develop engaging customer presentations and provide proactive, data-driven recommendations.

Responsibilities
  • Support sales and marketing teams with in-depth customer presentations
  • Deliver actionable recommendations to develop product categories and sales
  • Prepare and present market and competitor analysis reports
  • Monitor market trends and identify growth opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external data providers
  • Assist in ad-hoc research projects to support wider marketing initiatives
Qualifications
  • 2:1 degree or above, ideally in a data, numerical, or business-related subject
  • Strong analytical skills with a passion for data and insight generation
  • Highly proficient with Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate data into clear business recommendations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Collaborative mindset, comfortable working cross-functionally
  • Full driver's license for store audits
