Overview

Indirect Buyer | Abingdon | 6-month contract | £19 - £25 per hour:

A specialist high-tech manufacturer based in the Abingdon area is looking to recruit a temporary Indirect Buyer on a 6-month contract which could go “temp to perm”.

Responsibilities

The client is a global manufacturer going through an exciting period of change. They are seeking an Indirect Buyer with Services and Utilities experience to help review, collate and document all current spends and help implement a method for tracking spend and renewal dates for contracts.

Qualifications

• Educated to or performing at graduate calibre, or demonstrable track record of success in a purchasing environment (3+ years’ experience)
• In process of gaining CIPS qualifications preferable
• Experience working in a similar Indirect Buying role
• Competent at handling supplier contracts, MRP, negotiation and supplier relationship management
• Able to efficiently manage competing priorities
• Confident when working to tight deadlines
• Experience and understanding of an MRP system
• A team player with creative problem-solving skills
• Drive to continually improve the supply chain
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
