Overview

City Capital are currently representing a dynamic and well-respected short-term property finance lender who have retained our services to appoint an ambitious and proactive Case Manager to their growing team.

The Company

Our client is a respected and growing lender of short-term property finance loans and actively support property developers and investors with access to debt for important property projects.

Our client is boutique in size but big in ambition and due to this they are growing their loan book backed by strong and secure funding. Our clients primary product is bridging finance with the capacity to support development exits refurb projects and auction purchases.

The team works collaboratively on deals and together towards a shared goal and vision. The company likes to develop peoples skills & knowledge to assist them with their own career development and progression.

Due to growth this is an important appointment at an exciting time.

Role Overview

As Case Manager you will play a hugely integral role in lending success.

This is because you will be involved throughout the lifecycle of applications however originated. Initially once an enquiry has been established you will work to ensure the relevant documentation and information is gathered and confirmed to support loan assessment.

To achieve this you will liaise directly with key brokers and clients as well as the internal BDM underwriting and credit functions to progress cases. You will be the main point of contact for inbound enquiries which may include new loan enquiries as well as enquiries for deals already in the pipeline.

Alongside the underwriting team you will support and add value to deal assessments and ensuring important matters such as financial crime checks are undertaken and complete. You will ensure the CRM is maintained with the relevant logs.

Ultimately your activity will support the companies loan book growth objectives and play an integral role in ensuring that loan applications are correctly identified onboarded and progressed in line with the needs of the borrower.

Responsibilities
  • Support external BDMs with activity such as meeting booking and deal management
  • Act as main point of contact for borrowers brokers and other loan stakeholders
  • Identify and onboard the relevant information and documentation for loan underwriting
  • Assist with deal structuring and assessments as loan applications progress
  • Proactively seek business from brokers and borrowers where this is applicable
  • Ensure all the relevant checks are completed on each loan
  • Ensure the company CRM is updated and maintained at all times
  • Drive forward the pipeline of loan cases in line with SLAs
  • Ensure all activity is completed in accordance with internal SLAs to meet deadlines
Candidate Requirements
  • The ideal individual for this role will have some experience working in a comparable role within property finance lending.
  • You will be a strong communicator & with an excellent attention to detail. This will support the balance between liaising with external and internal stakeholders whilst assuring aspects such as loan documentation and underwriting assessments can be completed accurately and effectively.
  • Additionally you will be well organised and capable of managing multiple loan applications (pipeline) simultaneously. Most of all you will be proactive quick to spot opportunities or problems and motivated to address them.
  • Min. 1-2 years experience in a comparable lending role
  • An excellent communicator capable of managing loan pipelines in line with SLA
  • Highly organised and confident when planning priorities and managing time
  • A strong attention to detail with the capacity to spot opportunities or problems
  • Energetic and proactive individual with a Ive got this covered approach

  • Our client is ideally looking to pay up to 38k as a basic salary for the ideal individual which will be relevant to offers may also be considered for exceptional track record in the relevant markets.
  • This will be complemented by access to our clients favourable bonus scheme too which can significantly boost annual income based on performance.
  • Critically this is also a role that comes with plenty of training and development coupled with excellent changes to progress internally where excellent performance is delivered. Our client prefer to promote from within wherever possible with typical routes from Case Manager being to Underwriter BDM or Portfolio Manager.

  • The working pattern is hybrid typically working three days from home and two from the office.
