A healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Lead Carpenter and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Responsibilities include assisting with maintenance works, providing technical support, and ensuring a safe working environment. Candidates should have relevant experience in building maintenance, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety protocols. This role requires a clean driving license and the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
To carry out maintenance works on internal and external fabric of the Trust Estate and where necessary assist in the allocation and supervision of others work. To be responsible for cooperating with and advising a multi-disciplined workforce on suitable methods and techniques and resources, undertaking work associated with all building fabric and equipment within the Trust’s Establishments.
Assist and deputise for the Lead Carpenter in providing technical support to estates staff and contractors on issues that are complex and non‑routine including the regulatory compliance of fire doors as part of a maintenance programme. Follow departmental and Trusts operating policies and procedures guided by building and H & S regulations when undertaking this role and works closely with the Estates Officer but also independently without regular supervision.
