Job description

Are you looking for a role that combines being in the office with the variety of spending some time in the warehouse or jumping on a forklift in a busy logistics operation?

Our client is seeking an experienced individual to join the Distribution & Planning team as a General Cargo Coordinator on a full-time basis. The position offers a 40-hour workweek, from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, with potential future coverage on a Saturday on a rotational basis depending on customer requirements.

The role will serve as the main point of contact for customers, hauliers, and internal stakeholders regarding bookings and queries related to general cargo. Responsibilities include updating internal and external IT systems to ensure accurate and timely data recording, as well as coordinating customs processes for the External Temporary Storage Facility (ETSF).

Desired experience:
  • Good standard of education (requirements are flexible).
  • Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Experience with Terminal Operating and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of container load planning and IMDG code.
  • Understanding of customs processes and procedures related to ETSF, import, and export.
  • Experience in stock control and reconciliation.
  • Forklift license (training can be provided if needed).
  • Valid driving license.
