A staffing agency is seeking a Caretaker to manage site upkeep and safety checks in Bridgend. The role includes opening the premises, conducting compliance tests, and handling minor maintenance tasks. Candidates should demonstrate prior experience and problem-solving abilities. Overview

Job Title: Caretaker
Location: Bridgend
Hours: Split Shifts: Monday to Friday - 06:00-09:30 (AM) and 14:30-17:45 (PM)
Pay: Dependant on experience GBP13.08 per -
Contract: Ongoing temporary role with possible temp-to-perm opportunity

Main Duties
  • Opening and securing the premises each day
  • General site upkeep, including emptying bins and minor cleaning tasks
  • Overseeing traffic management to ensure pupils safely board their transport.
  • Carrying out routine compliance checks, including: Legionella testing, Fire alarm testing, Perimeter and security checks
  • Basic maintenance and general handyman duties
Shifts
  • Split shift pattern:
    • Morning shift: 06:00 - 09:30 (17.5 hours per week)
    • Afternoon shift: 14:30 - 17:45 (16.25 hours per week)

We welcome applications from candidates looking to work either the AM or PM shift only, or both.

Requirements
  • Previous caretaking, maintenance or facilities experience is desirable
  • A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving
  • Enhanced DBS (Manpower covers the cost of this if you aren\'t on the DBS Update Service)
  • Availability to start as soon as possible
  • Job offers are subject to satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and references.
