The Role is to support a disabled parent who is a wheelchair

This is not a nannying role – the carer will be supporting the parent to care
for their baby and maintain independence at home. This role includes a strong
social and relational element, as you'll be working closely with the parent in
their home. It’s important that you're someone who can build rapport and bring
good energy to the day. Equally essential is the ability to recognise when
quiet, calm support is needed and to work independently and sensitively when
required.

● Nappy changes, dressing, and baby laundry

● Support during wake time activities (tummy time, games,
walks, reading, sensory play)

● Help attend baby-related appointments and outings

Practical and Domestic task assistance:

● Resetting change tables, prams, cots

● Organising and putting away baby clothes and supplies

● Following clear routines and returning items to their
designated places is essential for supporting the parent’s independence and
daily rhythm

● Loading/unloading dishwasher, washing up

● General tidying and cleaning

● Light meal prep and errands

Personal Care for Parent:

● Washing and brushing hair, nail clipping

● Maintaining medications, pill boxes, assistance for
physiotherapy

● Support
attending appointments and accessing shops or local services

Essential Requirements:

● Experience with early years childcare (qualification or
parenting experience)

● Experience in a carer role, or working with disabled
adults or children

● Highly organised, with a good time-keeping, memory and
ability to multitask and adapt as needs change

● Comfortable following covid safety protocols as multiple
household members are clinically vulnerable to covid19.

● Mandatory to wear a mask on entry to the property and
until a covid test is complete. (Masks and tests will be provided).

● Must be reliable, trustworthy, and able to work both with
the parent and independently

Desirable Requirements:

● Flexibility with working hours

● Driving licence welcome

An enhanced DBS check will be required before employment
commences; this cost will be met by the employer
