Overview

Care Team Leader – Location: Residential Home, Bideford. Service User Group: Learning Disability / Autism and Mental Health Conditions. Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Pay Rate: £14.44 per hour. Rota: Rolling three-week rota, with one weekend on every three weeks. On-Call Payment: £10.00 per call.

Role Summary

As a Care Team Leader, you will lead a dedicated team delivering person-centred care to adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Mental Health conditions. Your role involves coordinating care delivery, supporting staff, and ensuring compliance with organisational and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise, and support the care team to provide high-quality, compassionate care.
  • Manage the rolling three-week rota, ensuring one weekend on in three is worked.
  • Oversee care plans and risk assessments, ensuring they are implemented and regularly updated.
  • Provide on-call support as part of the rota, paid at £10.00 per call.
  • Maintain communication with families, health professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and empowering environment for service users.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and safeguarding regulations.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care is essential.
  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a care setting.
  • Understanding of care needs relating to Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Mental Health.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage rotas and lead teams effectively.
