Overview

Dermatology opportunity to join our Dermatology team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable person to work flexibly in our busy department. The role involves direct care in support of registered nurses, assisting the medical staff in clinics, and reception support for patients, relatives and visitors to the department, while maintaining patient privacy and dignity at all times. The successful candidate will start as Band 2 and progress to Band 3 once training is complete. Our Care Support Workers carry out assigned tasks involving direct patient care supervised by a Registered Nurse, and work as an integrated member of the team, assisting in clinics and with surgical procedures according to agreed policies.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out tasks involving direct patient care supervised by a Registered Nurse.
  • Support the medical staff in clinics and assist with surgical procedures according to agreed policies.
  • Assist with reception for patients, relatives and all visitors to the department, ensuring patient privacy and dignity is maintained at all times.
  • Work as an integrated member of the team, assisting in clinics and with surgical procedures as required.
  • Maintain the patients dignity and self-respect at all times and achieve a high standard of care.
  • Be accountable for delivering the highest standard of care and promote patient safety, effective care and a positive patient experience at each stage of the patient journey.
