Overview

Be a Care-Giving Day-Maker. We are recruiting a minimum of 2 part-time and 2 full-time Care Assistants to provide care and support to people living in all NE7 areas (including Heaton and High Heaton).

If you are the kind of person that can make people smile while visiting them in their home, then a Care Assistant with Be Caring could be the right fit for you. You do not need a degree or care qualifications to be a Care Assistant, but you will need the right values. Each day is varied, and you will need to have a can-do attitude.

Pay: £12.82 p/hr (drivers) - paid per shifts not per call, travel time included. Mileage: 45p per mile for drivers. Bonus schemes: up to £300 new starter, £300 Refer a Friend, £300 annual bonus. £25 birthday gift voucher. Working hours aligned to shift patterns, including late shift working and alternate weekends. Early Shifts: 7:00am - 3:00pm. Late shift: 3:00pm - 10:00pm (finish time depends on public transport times). Two-week rota includes alternate full weekends and evenings as agreed within working hours. Successful applicants will be required to cover all areas including Heaton and High Heaton.

Induction and Training

We are looking for people with Be Caring values to join our team. For this role you do not need care experience; we provide training to develop transferable skills from previous roles. You will receive a comprehensive induction training program covering values, dignity and respect, safeguarding and equality and diversity, confidentiality and professional boundaries, fluids and nutrition and safe administration of medication, moving and positioning, basic life support, pressure sores, infection prevention and control, health and safety, learning disabilities (Oliver McGowan Tier 1), mental health and capacity.
