A local government authority in Glasgow is seeking a janitorial staff member responsible for cleaning and securing multi-storey car parks. The ideal candidate should have effective communication skills, experience in customer service, and be able to work independently. A valid driving licence is a plus. This role operates on a structured shift pattern over five days a week.
Duties include undertaking janitorial, cleaning, sweeping and security of surface and multi-storey car parks, operating cleaning and car park equipment and covering event parking, as required.
The ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, whether in person or by telephone is essential.
You must also be capable of extensive walking, climbing stairs and working for periods alone.
A knowledge of car park operational systems, operating procedures and equipment would be beneficial, as would previous customer service experience and a current driving licence.
A 2 shift working pattern is currently in operation, 5 days over 6.
