Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operation of the cafe bar, ensuring efficient services and adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Supervise and coordinate cafe bar staff, including scheduling, training and performance management
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, prompting professional growth and development
  • Provide exceptional customer service and handle inquiries, complaints and feedback professionally
  • Manage inventory, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimising waste
  • Ensure all food and beverages are prepared and presented to the highest standards
  • Develop strategies to improve customer satisfaction
  • Manage the cafe bar budget, controlling costs and maximising profits
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe bar, conduct regular checks on equipment and facilities, and report maintenance issues
  • Handle cash transactions, manage tills and ensure accurate financial records
  • Assist in planning and executing promotional activities to attract members and increase sales
  • Ensure KPIs (sales targets, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency) are met or exceeded; may qualify for a performance-based bonus
  • Support the Club and work Duty Management shifts; be responsible for the club during these shifts
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a cafe or management role within hospitality or food and beverage
  • L2 Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Good financial acumen and experience with budget management
  • Knowledge and experience of health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • Proactive and results driven, highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Desirable
  • Knowledge of theme nights, party nights and organising member events
