CAD Technician - Ferndown

Full-Time | Permanent | £27,000-£30,000 per annum

We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our well‑established and highly successful manufacturing client based in Ferndown. As specialists within the construction industry, they are now looking for a CAD Technician to join their growing contracts team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical drawing experience and proficiency in AutoCAD to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.

Salary & Benefits

• £27,000 - £30,000 per annum
• Annual performance‑related bonus
• Monthly pay intervals
• Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week (between 8:00am - 6:00pm)

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Managing projects from initial design stage through to manufacture
• Producing detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD
• Preparing technical and sample submittals
• Liaising effectively with Contractors, Architects and End Users
• Managing documentation through intranet‑based document control systems
• Preparing all associated documentation to ensure compliance
• Liaising with manufacturing partners

Minimum Skills & Experience Required

• Experience within the construction industry is desirable
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Strong attention to detail and a team‑focused approach
• Commercially aware with the ability to work to strict deadlines
• Able to contribute to continuous improvement
• Excellent communication skills
• Full product and system training provided
• No known health risks associated with this role
