Overview

Salary: up to £50,000 plus package

Location: Northern Home Counties

Regions: Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire

Buyer – Residential Development – up to £50k plus package

My client who is a residential developer who specialises in luxury high end traditional build houses and apartments. They are looking to expand their team with the addition of a Buyer to support the current commercial team for their prestigious developments both future and present within the Northern Home Counties Region.

An office based position, you will report into the Commercial Manager and work closely with the procurement team on their current/new residential developments of new build homes.

As a Buyer you will be procuring materials to meet the build programme of this project.

Responsibilities

• Procuring brickwork, carpentry and sanitary materials
• Hiring plant e.g. cabins, forklifts, fencing, cranes etc.
• Compiling monthly reports on budgeting control on all materials
• Resolving supplier disputes
• Support the estimating team with pre-tender quotations and resolve material specification issues

Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of procurement experience with a residential property developer
• Experience with procuring materials for new build developments.
• Some knowledge of construction techniques
• Comprehension of building, environmental and disability standards
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
• Proven track record and have shown stable UK employment and have some exposure of residential construction with a recognised developer or company.
