Job summary

A growing UK business is seeking a Buyer to manage procurement activities. The ideal candidate will take ownership of supplier negotiations and ensure quality and efficiency in purchasing. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work independently are essential. A degree and/or CIPS qualification is preferred. This role is based in London and requires the right to work in the UK.

An opportunity has arisen for a Buyer to join a growing UK business, taking ownership of a broad range of procurement activity. This role is well-suited to a self-starter who thrives on working independently, takes accountability for delivery, and has a strong focus on achieving results.

Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of a broad range of procurement activity, from identifying requirements and analysis through to supplier negotiation, contract management, and delivery of goods and services.
  • With strong attention to detail and a solutions-focused approach, ensure value, quality, and efficiency across all purchasing activity.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience managing procurement processes and delivering cost savings and quality improvements.
  • Ability to work independently, taking initiative to drive activity forward.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled in negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
  • Confident communicator, able to pro-actively engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Ideally Degree and/or CIPS qualified.
