A growing engineering manufacturer in Leighton Buzzard is seeking a proactive Buyer to join their purchasing team. What you’ll be doing as the appointed Buyer:
  • Raising and managing purchase orders for goods, materials, and services
  • Ensuring on-time delivery and negotiating best value with suppliers
  • Running RFQs, analysing bids, and recommending suppliers
  • Resolving purchasing issues and supporting continuous improvement
  • Managing custom commodities and understanding supplier capabilities
  • Monitoring market trends to minimise cost and supply risk
  • Conducting supplier reviews and maintaining strong vendor relationships
  • Keeping purchasing data accurate and up to date
  • Maintaining departmental KPIs and ensuring compliance with processes
