Overview

Business Support Officer - Housing Standards Team
Pay rate to £13.90 per hour
Contract role
We are recruiting for an experienced Business Support Officer to work in a Housing Standards Team in Wigan Council. Wigan Council is seeking a Business Support Officer to support the Housing Standards team within the Strategic and Private Sector Housing Team. This role involves a range of functions related to housing standards in the private sector, from engaging with landlords and property owners to enforcing property standards. This position offers a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to provide essential administrative support across various areas.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support including inputting documentation related to housing act notices, civil penalties, and general admin duties to produce legal notices.
  • Input case file information onto our case management system, Locata.
  • Organise correspondence, review licence applications, and support the team in various administrative tasks.
  • Input and extract data from a range of ICT systems, set up meetings, and take minutes.
  • Monitor the team's inbox, triage incoming work, and respond to enquiries related to empty homes within the borough.
  • Maintain high standards of customer care and contribute positively to day-to-day working practices.
